Privacy notice

The short version: we only collect what we need to reply to you, we don't sell it, and we don't track you around the internet.

Who we are

True North 54 Ltd, Carlisle, Cumbria. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: dan@truenorth54.co.uk.

What we collect

If you email us, we collect your name, email address and whatever you write in your message.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider handles your IP address and basic browser details so it can deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We also count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which tells us which pages are read without using cookies or identifying you.

Why, and on what basis

To reply to your enquiry and, if we end up working together, to deliver the project. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps taken before entering into a contract. Visit counts rely on our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful.

Who else sees it

Our email provider (Google) and our hosting provider (Cloudflare) process data on our behalf. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. Visit counts don't use cookies or track you across other sites. Fonts are served from our own site, not from Google.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll sort it. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
